Growing Directions
Basil takes longer to germinate and grow on than other microgreens seeds; however, they are very much worth the wait. Anise basil microgreens seeds are suitable to most grow mediums, including soil, hydoponic mediums, and even terra cotta. Basil is a mucilaginous seed, meaning it forms a gel coating on the outside of the seed when it gets wet. Other mucilaginous seeds include chia and mustard. When growing anise basil microgreens, be sure to allow for adequate blackout time. Once the cotyledons appear and are reaching for light, give it to them by placing your growing anise micros under a grow light or a windowsill.
