Violetta Italia Cauliflower plant produces small heads with a beautiful light purple hue. It is a strong plant and easy for home growing. Plant in the spring or summer outside, or inside and transport outdoors after 4-5 weeks. Plant seeds ¼” deep indoors or outdoors in full sun. Seeds should be planted 2-4” apart indoors, and when transported outdoors thin seedlings to be 18” apart. Fertilizer may help to promote growth.

Harvest the head before the curds of the cauliflower have loosened. Side shoots will grow after the central head has been harvested. After harvest, cook the cauliflower in boiling water. When cooked, the purple heads will turn green, and have a mild flavor much like that of broccoli.
